Year-Round Digital Campaign for a Tourist Destination
The modern (tourist) consumer has "modern" needs, seeking unique and flexible experiences and wanting to actively shape their holiday rather than merely participate passively in activities. For the destination Kamnik, which offers a unique blend of local culture and nature, we developed a comprehensive digital campaign encouraging visitors to actively engage in shaping their travel experiences. Drawing on research about the impact of emotions and satisfaction on destination choice, we designed two seasonal activations promoting the personalization of tourist experiences.

What Do You Need Now?
In the spring campaign, we explored user interests and preferences using dynamic digital ads that directed users to a website with an interactive questionnaire, inspired by the "poll" feature in social media Stories. The focus was on choosing between nature, culture, and unique experiences, allowing users to actively participate in the decision-making process. A prize activation provided entertainment for users, while our analysis of the collected data offered valuable insights into the preferences of Kamnik's visitors, significantly influencing the development of future activities and offerings. This created an interactive experience that encouraged visitors to explore all the charms of Kamnik.
Create Your Own Vacation
In the summer campaign, we directed users to a website featuring an interactive gamified puzzle, where solving the puzzle revealed images of experiences in Kamnik. The selection of experiences and visual design of the ads were based on survey results from the campaign's first phase, enabling more targeted promotion. We supported the campaign with social media content, including a collaboration with travel influencer @ksenia_in_slovenia, who visited various locations in Kamnik and shared her authentic experiences with followers on Instagram.
Results
The year-round digital campaign for the Kamnik destination achieved outstanding results, attracting over 860,000 users across five targeted markets (Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic). The total ad impressions exceeded 2.1 million, with more than 27,000 ad clicks. Collaboration with influencer @ksenia_in_slovenia added an extra 70,000 views and over 700 interactions, further enhancing Kamnik's visibility as a unique tourist destination.
